A load carrier structure for photovoltaics allowing for easy adjustment of orientation

💼 porté par

In order to cover transport infrastructure (roads, railroads, parking lots, bus stations etc.) with photovoltaics it is useful to have a standardised system that allows to adjust the photovoltaic panels to the south without tailormade constructions for every case or even different road sections.

The idea is to use hexagonal (honeycomb-shaped) carrier elements and two different rectangular shapes of photovoltaic panels for two different orientations (relationship between panel and carrying hexagon). This allows to adjust the orientation of the panels in 30° steps (60° when stepwise turning the hexagon and two panel positions differing by 90°), so in the worst case, the panel deviates by 15° from the optimum orientation.
